Garlic Mushroom Rice

It has been crazy around here this week.
It has been a week of very quick dinners.
So, I have not had a lot of time to blog.
However, never fear, I did not forget about you!

Sadly, I have no pictures of the recipe
I am sharing this evening.
The next time I make this dish, I will
make sure to post pics for everyone!

Garlic Mushroom Rice was just a recipe
I made up one night when I was craving rice.
It is now one of JJ's favorite dishes.
I don't make it as often as I once did.
Mainly because I am trying to watch the carbs.
However, JJ still asks for it from time to time
and I happily oblige.

Now on to the recipe!

Garlic Mushroom Rice

4 cups Minute Rice (prepared per directions)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cans of mushrooms
2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
2 to 4 tsp Frank's Red Hot Sauce

After rice is prepared, place pan back on stove.
Stir in remaining ingredients.  Heat over medium low
heat until heated through.
Serve.

I have tried this dish with brown rice and it
turned out pretty well.  Johnny does not
really care for white rice.  So, I use the brown
rice when he will be eating the dish.

I really want to get some quiona
and try this dish.  It would definitely
add some protein into the dish.
It is a really cool ingredient
that I really want to try.  Plus,
it is just really fun to say!!

I hope you enjoy!

Love to you all from the
Busy Cookin' WV Momma!
