My Pantry Staples + Simple Chicken Salad Recipe

We all have them or I at least believe we 
should all have them.
It is those staples we keep in our pantry
at all times.  The ones we just can not
imagine being without.

I don't know how many recipes have came 
into my mind just by having these ingredients.
So, tonight I wanted to share with you all
my top 12 of most have items!

#1 Pantry Staple
Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
Believe me when I say it is 
like a national emergency when I 
don't have any!  And yes, I know
I am trying to slowly move my family
away from processed foods.
However, this is one "processed" 
food they will NEVER take away!

#2 Pantry Staple
Canned Mushrooms
Omelets, sauces, just to eat, etc!
The other day I about cried when
I was making something and realized
I had no mushrooms in the pantry.

#3 Pantry Staple 
Minced Garlic
No vampire will ever want to drink my blood.
I love garlic and put it in about everything.

#4 Pantry Staple

My Kenny's Spices
These are the best spices/rubs EVER!
Honestly, one of the two reasons I go to
any Hunting and Fishing show, is I am
hoping that Kenny will be there!
These four bottles were purchased when
we went to Stonewall Jackson in September.
Thankfully, I have found his website:

don't have one of these, you are missing out!
Honestly, the BEST PEELER I have ever used.
Get yourself one if you don't have one in your drawer!

#5 Pantry Staple
Frozen Mesquite Grilled Chicken Fillets
from Sam's
I was always a little leery of frozen chicken.
These changed my opinion though.  Preheat
your oven, through them on a pan, cook 
for 20 minutes and you have dinner.
Also, they cost friendly which is a big
plus in my book!

#6 Pantry Staple
Boneless, Skinless Chicken Tenderloins
I just tried these the other night and I am in love.
I thawed them out and used them in my 
I will be definitely using these more in the future.

#7 Pantry Staple
Frank's RedHot Sauce
It sits by my stove and you 
never know when it will be included.
I love this stuff on everything!!

#8 Pantry Staple
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
I know the bottle says "pure"; however, this
was a bottle I had and I refilled with EVOO.
I buy the big bottle of EVOO from Sam's, so
I had to have a "user friendly" bottle - LOL.

#9 Pantry Staple
Onions are a must have around this house.
Actually, I am out right now and need to
get some more tomorrow!

#10 Pantry Staple
Diced Tomatoes with Different Flavorings
I love these.  They make making my salsa
so much easier.  They are also wonderful in 
homemade sauces when fresh tomatoes are
not in season.

#11 Pantry Staple
Chunk Chicken Breast
Chicken salad has become a staple
around here for lunch.  Mine is very
quick and simple.  So, I always have
several cans of chicken on hand. 

#12 Pantry Staple
Celery Salt
Kept on hand for the above
mentioned chicken salad!
This is why it is some simple.
I don't use celery because the celery 
salt gives it the flavor.

Since I have mentioned it twice now, 
I wanted to leave you with my

Simple Chicken Salad

1 to 2 cans of chunk chicken
(depends on how many your are feeding)
2 Heaping Tbsp of Mayo 
(I am meaning an actual tablespoon from
your silverware drawer - not the measuring spoon)
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp of celery salt

Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
Taste to check seasoning.
If you think it needs more of something, add.
Chill or serve immediately.

I told you it was simple.  Simplicity is the key in my
house.  Especially when trying to prepare lunches in the mornings.
