Thank goodness for freezer items

Want to know the benefits of having a stocked freezer?
Because when you get weather like this


You don't have to worry about not
getting to the grocery store!


Because I couldn't get to work on Friday,
I couldn't get my paycheck and go to the grocery store.
However, thanks to me putting some stuff in the
freezer a couple of weeks ago, we had dinners
ready to go!

I hope you all have fared the weather okay.
To help "spice up" your winter blahs,
I wanted to share my recipe for salsa!

I got this recipe from my mother-in-law several years ago.
I have tweaked it a little over the years.

Salsa (from Busy Cookin' WV Momma)
2 cans diced tomatoes with garlic and onions
(I think it also contains green pepper)
1 small onion, coarsely chopped
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 bunch of cilantro, roughly chopped
6 or 7 jalapeno rings (if you want it hotter, add more)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 pepper

Put all ingredients in a blender.
Pulse for about 30 seconds.
Check the flavor.  If you think it needs
more garlic or cilantro, add at this time.
Depending on how "thin" you want the 
salsa, pulse until you get it to the consistency
that you want.
Serve with chips.

*NOTE* You can use dried cilantro.  However, you will
need to use a little more.
