Peppy Cheesy Burgers

I really think I have become addicted to
banana peppers as of late!
I am trying to figure out more and more
recipes to include them.
I guess I should just be thankful that my
husband and son like spicy food like me.

Thursday was Farmer's Market day again
here in the community!  It does my heart
good and helps with the healing to see
how well the market is doing since opening!
I know Rev. Appleton (John) would be
extremely thrilled to see how well
the market is fairing!  I know he is smiling down.

As I was saying, market day was Thursday.
Of course, I picked up some more
hot and sweet banana peppers.
Then after a wonderful walk with my great
friends, Cathy and Melissa, I came home
to develop this recipe.

Now on to the recipe!

Peppy Cheesy Burgers
by Me

2 lbs. hamburger
1 pkg (16 oz) shredded cheese
(I used Colby & Monterey Jack)
1 hot banana pepper, seeded and chopped
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 Tbsp Kenny's Apple Butter Chop Rub
2 Tbsp butter
3 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Now, a quick note.  I love Kenny's Spices!
He is a gentleman out of North Carolina and
he brings his spices up to the hunting and fishing
shows in the state.  This is the only reason I go
to these shows -- LOL!!  You can find his spices
and other wares through http://www.kennysspices.com/.
Go check it out!  You won't be disappointed!

Now back to the recipe!

1.  In a large mixing bowl, place ground hamburger.
I used ground chuck.

2.  Add entire package of cheese.

3.  Add chopped banana pepper.

4.  Add seasoning.  Now, since many of
you may not have this seasoning, use your
favorite seasoning(s).

5.  Chop garlic and add to mixture.

6.  With GLOVED hands, mix all ingredients together.
YES, use gloves!  That will prevent the banana peppers
getting on your skin.
(looks like it would be a good meatloaf at
this point, huh?)

7.  Form mixture into patties.
Now, Johnny made four huge ones that did
shrink considerably.  I figured you can get
approximately 6 to 8 smaller patties from
the mix.

8.  In a large skillet, place butter and
Worcestershire and melt over medium
high heat.

9.  Once butter is melted, place in patties.

10.  Cook until desired temperature.

I have to say, these were wonderful.  Another
great part is that it only has around 6g of carbs.

Hope you enjoy!

Love to you all from the
Busy Cookin' WV Momma!!
