Sloppy Joe Casserole

Who does not love a good Sloppy Joe?
I mean seriously! I have loved Sloppy Joes since I was
a little kid. The taste, the messiness, the overall comfort food
between two buns. What is there not to love?

Since Johnny's surgery, I haven't made any Sloppy Joes.
He can not eat sandwiches because of the bread and a Sloppy
Joe is not a Sloppy Joe without the bread.
However, I have now found a cure to my Sloppy Joe cravings.

My sister gave me this cookbook several Christmases ago.
I have looked through it many times.
I don't know how I have missed this recipe before now but
I was in heaven when I found it the other day.
A Sloppy Joe casserole? Casserole you say?
A way for me to have my Sloppy Joes and Johnny be able to
enjoy it as well? Oh, I was so intrigued by this recipe. I knew it
had to be made in my kitchen as soon as possible.

Let me just say this: This recipe ROCKS!!
No paid endorsements here. Just simply stating
the truth - this recipe ROCKS!!

Sloppy Joe Casserole
(taken from the Campbell's Recipe Collection)

You will need:

1 pound ground beef
1 can Campbell's Condensed Tomato Soup
(any type will do according to the recipe)
1/4 cup water
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1 pkg refrigerated biscuits (10 count can)
1/2 shredded Cheddar cheese

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Cook the beef in a 10-in skillet over medium-high heat until it's
well browned, stirring often to break up the meat. Drain off any fat.

3. Stir the soup,

water, Worcestershire sauce,

and black pepper in the skillet.

**NOTE** I did add just a little bit of garlic
powder and salt to the mix. You can definitely
omit. You know me though, I like to improvise
sometimes.

4. Heat to a boil.

5. Add you beef into tomato mixture.

6. Spoon beef into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

7. Arrange biscuits around the inside edge of the casserole.

8. Bake for 15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

9. Sprinkle cheese over mixture and let melt.

My final creation looked like this:

Yum, Yum, YUM!!
Seriously, it was amazing. The next time I fix this
recipe, I will be doubling it so I can have leftovers.
It really was the good!

By the way, don't you love the baking dish?
It is so pretty! Johnny and I received these dishes
from my parents during Christmas.
