Steak Roll-Ups

Dear hubby and I made a trip to the local meat market yesterday.
Since I am trying to get into the habit of shopping local stores, we
decided to head to Johnnies Fresh Meat Market to stock up.
Included in the meat package we purchased was 5lbs of chopped
sirloin steak (or cube steak). Oh, I was going to love this!

Chopped steak/cubed steak is such a fun meat to cook with in my opinion.
There are so many options out there in terms of ways to cook
this meat, it is crazy. Don't believe? Google it sometime.
You will be blown away.

Anyway, I wanted to try something new and get out of the
same old chopped steak/gravy meal. So, off to Pinterest I went.
Within a couple of minutes, I had found the recipe I wanted to try.
It was so simple! Three ingredients and that was all. WOO HOO!
What busy cook doesn't LOVE five ingredients or less recipes??

Steak Roll-Ups

The original recipe can be found on Parent Place. She has some
really other recipes I want to try in the future.

You will need:
1 box stuffing mix
4 pieces of chopped steak (cube steak)
4 pieces of bacon

PREHEAT OVEN TO 450 degrees

1. Prepare your stuffing per the directions on the box.

2. Arrange your steak out on your cutting board.

3. Put about a tablespoon of stuffing on each steak and
spread it out over the steak.

4. Roll up each piece of steak. You should have
something that looks like a small steak burrito.

5. Wrap a piece of bacon around each steak roll.

As you can see, I had a very handsome apprentice
chef with me in the kitchen tonight.

6. Place steak rolls into your baking dish.

7. Cook for 25 minutes and then serve with your favorite side.

These turned out really good. The only thing I would
change is next time I will season my meat a little.
It has wonderful flavor especially from the stuffing and the bacon.
However, I just personally felt like the meat needed a little seasoning as well.

I also want to say thanks to my apprentice chef, JJ. He has really
taken an interest in cooking lately. I am loving having him in the
kitchen with me. Plus, it gives him good like skills because
momma won't always be around to cook for him.

I hope you enjoy!

Love to you all from the
Busy Cookin' WV Momma!!
