Honey Garlic BBQ Chicken

Geesh, I had not realized it has been over a week
since I last posted. It has been crazy around here
with trying to finish two blankets, working late, and
a weekend trip to Maryland. However, I am back
and ready to share a new recipe!

Tonight's recipe is one for your beloved slow cooker.
This recipe is the perfect recipe for bone-in chicken
breasts. You can either leave or remove the skin from
the breast. The choice is completely yours.
I personally like to leave the skin on just out of
preference. I realize it isn't the healthiest option,
but sometimes you have to live on the edge.

Honey Garlic BBQ Chicken

You will need:

4 bone-in chicken breasts
1 bottle of BBQ sauce (your choice of flavor)
5 Tbsp of honey
2 Tbsp minced garlic
2-3 tsp of red pepper flakes
1 onion, cut into strips

1. Spray your slow cooker.
Place your chicken into the cooker.

2. In a medium size bowl, pour in
the bottle of BBQ sauce.

3. Then add in the:

Red Pepper Flakes

4. Whisk all the ingredients together well.

5. Place sliced onion on top of
chicken breasts.

6. Pour sauce over chicken and onions.

7. Place the lid on your cooker and
set the timer for 8 hours on low.

This was a very flavorful chicken dish.
It was a little on the spicy side
which my men and I liked. I really
think the heat, along with the sweetness
from the honey, worked well together.
Of course, you can adjust the spice level
for your own preference.

I would also like to try this recipe
with my honey's BBQ sauce recipe.
That man of mine makes a KICKIN' BBQ Sauce.

I hope you enjoy!!

Love to you all from the
