Johnny J's Pot Roast

Let me just say, my hubby can cook!! I am not saying that because he is my hubby. I am saying that because it is true.If I had the money, I would open a restaurant for him.

So, today I asked him to put in a pot roast for dinner. I left him no recipe. I left him no suggestions on what to do with the roast. However, I knew it would be great. And guess what, his roast rocked!! I can honestly say this will be a definite keeper in our house.

Now on to the recipe!!

1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 bag of baby carrots
1 bag of baby potatoes
1 stick of butter

1. Place the potatoes and carrots into the bottom of the slow cooker.

2. Sprinkle the vegetables with the Italian seasoning.

3. Place the roast on top of the vegetables.

4. Season roast with salt and pepper.

5. Sprinkle roast with Lipton onion soup mix.

6. Place the stick of butter on top of the roast.

7. Set for 8 hours on low.

Ok, I have to apologize. I forgot to take a final picture. However, here is one after we had already ate dinner.

Now, I know some of you may be leery about using a stick of butter. However, let me say this one thing. I will never put water in pot roast recipes any more. By using the butter, the seasonings stay on the meat without being washed off. Also, the butter makes everything taste so great!

I hope you enjoy!

Love to you all from The Busy Cooking Momma!
