Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Wraps

I love a good cheeseburger. There is nothing like the taste of that melted cheese combined with a good flavorful burger. It honestly can make a bad day better in my opinion. However, I do not make a lot of cheeseburgers these days. Mainly because the hubby can not eat a lot of bread and let's face it, the bun is an essential part of a cheeseburger.

So, I got really excited when I found a cheeseburger recipe on Pinterest that was cooked in the slow cooker. I also liked the fact I could turn these into cheeseburger wraps instead of sandwiches. That would help cut down on the amount of bread. Plus, with only a couple of ingredients, this recipe went together real quick.

I found the original recipe on Recipes That Crock through Pinterest. I made a couple small changes to the original recipe. I also shortened the cooking time and I think I will lower it again the next time I make this recipe.

Now, onto the recipe!!

Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Wraps

You will need:
1 1/2 lb ground chuck
6 cloves of garlic
1 medium onion
2 Tbsp milk
8 oz Mexican Velveeta cheese
Salt and pepper

In a large pan, begin browning your ground chuck.

Add in 3 cloves of garlic. I used a garlic press. If you do not have a garlic press, peel the garlic and smash the clove with a knife blade. Then add this to the ground chuck.

Add in the salt and pepper.


Stir well and brown over medium heat until cooked through. Drain off any fat.

While meat is browning, finely chop your onion.

Also, cube your Velveeta cheese.

Once everything is browned and chopped, spray the slow cooker with cooking spray.
Add in the onion and ground chuck.

Add in cubed cheese and 3 more cloves of garlic.

Now add in your 2 Tbsp of milk.

Give everything a good stir and place the lid on your slow cooker.

Cook on LOW for 4 hours.

This is what mine looked like after the cooking time elapsed. YUM!!

I prepared my wrap with a little mayonnaise and a pickle slice. I served the wraps with a side of gluten free potato chips.


These were so good. My men enjoyed them as well. This was a great way to get some cheeseburger love in my life while making it better for my hubby.

Prep Time: 15 minutes                  Cooking Time: 4 hours on LOW

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb ground chuck
6 cloves garlic, pressed and divided
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
8 oz Mexican Velveeta cheese, cubed
2 Tbsp milk
1 onion, finely chopped
Tortilla wraps
Garnish of your choice

Directions:
1. In a large skillet, begin browning the ground chuck.
2. To the ground chuck, add in 3 cloves of pressed garlic, salt and pepper.
3. While meat is browning, finely chop the onion and cube the Velveeta.
4. After meat is browned, drain the fat.
5. Add the meat, onions, Velveeta cheese, the other 3 cloves of garlic and milk to the slow cooker.
6. Stir all ingredients well.
7. Place lid on the slow cooker.
8. Cook on LOW for 4 hours.
9. Serve with your favorite garnish on the tortilla wraps. Enjoy!
