Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops in the Slow Cooker

What happens when you combine pork chops and bacon? You get one of the best recipes I have ever tried since I have been cooking.

I have been wanting to try pork chops wrapped in bacon for a long time. However, I wanted something I could prepare in my slow cooker. So began the creative process for this mouth watering recipe.

Honestly, this is going to be a least a monthly recipe in my house. It goes together so quickly and the flavors are wonderful. My men were asking me to make this again before we were even half way done with dinner. To get that kind of response means the recipe is a definite keeper. I know you and your family will LOVE this recipe as well!

Now, on to the recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops in the Slow Cooker
By: The Busy Cooking Momma

You will need:
6 boneless pork chops
6 slices thick cut bacon
1/2 c soy sauce
1/2 c honey
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Wrap pork chops with bacon and place in the slow cooker. You do not need to secure the bacon with toothpicks because the bacon will stay on the chop.

In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce,

honey,

garlic,

ginger,

red pepper flakes,

onion powder and pepper.

Pour mixture over the pork chops.

Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours and serve with favorite side dishes.

Oh My!! This seriously was the most tender pork chop EVER. The pork chop and bacon just worked so well together.. The flavor of the sauce just kicked this dish up another notch and really gave the bacon/pork chop a great flavor. I believe next time I prepare this dish, I will make mashed potatoes and serve the sauce as a gravy. I hope you give this recipe a try very soon. It is a definite keeper.

I hope you enjoy!!

Love to you all from The Busy Cooking Momma!!

  3. So was the bacon crispy? Or was it still a little chewy? It looks amazing!

    1. Candice, I am so sorry I missed this. I would still use the sams cooking time because of the thickness of the chops. I hoped it turned out well for you.

I have this in my 4-1 ninja cooker now. No time to let cook all day so I will cook it on high for 2 hours then crisp it on the oven setting. I followed recipe exactly except I used a little more bacon because I bought center cut and pieces are a little smaller. I will report back my findings. Super easy to make and throw together so liking it so far!

Made these and they were very good. I took the chops out and baked them in the oven for about 10 minutes to get the bacon and top crisp. I would definitely make these again, I might lower the amount of soy sauce next time. I even used light, I would probably use 1/3 cup and dilute with water. Will make again thanks for the great easy recipe!

  7. Can this be done in the oven since I don't have time to use a slow cooker?

    1. Absolutely. I would bake them at 375 for at least 35-45 minutes depending on the size of your chops. I would then put them under the broiler to crisp the bacon a little. Enjoy!!
