20 Freezer Meals: Honey Mustard Pork Chops with Potatoes

One of my favorite ingredients to use in the slow cooker is pork chops. There are so many different recipes you can create with the simple pork chop. So, our recipe tonight features my favorite ingredient - the pork chop.

One of the great things about this recipe is that all the ingredients are probably hiding out in your pantry right now. Also, though it is a very simple recipe, the taste is definitely not simple. The sauce coats not only the pork chops but the potatoes as well. Plus, the melted butter gives everything a nice added flavor as well. Served with a nice side vegetable and you have a great filling dinner for any busy night.

Now, on to the recipe!

This recipe makes TWO freezer meals.

Ingredients:
8 thick cut pork chops (4)
2 envelopes onion soup mix (1 envelope)
1 c spicy brown mustard (1/2 c)
1 c honey (1/2 c)
1/2 tsp black pepper (1/4 tsp)
1 stick of butter
1 lb fingerling or new potatoes

In a large freezer bag, add the pork chops,

onion soup mix,

spicy mustard,

honey,

and black pepper.

Close the bag and mix the ingredients together. Freeze the bags.

To cook, thaw in the refrigerator overnight. On the day of cooking, place potatoes in the bottom of your slow cooker.

Dump bag contents over the potatoes. Cut the butter into slices and lay on the top of the pork chops.

Cook on LOW for 6 hours. Serve with your choice of another vegetable or a nice side salad.

I love the flavors of this dish. The combination of the honey, mustard and onion soup just makes this sauce pop! Combine that with pork and potatoes and wow! Your taste buds will be singing this dish's praises. My men loved this recipe and I think you and your family will as well.

I hope you enjoy!

Love to you all from The Busy Cooking Momma!
